how did it all begin?
it started out as an idea on the drive home
from the beach one afternoon... however unlike most ‘daydreams’ the scheming continued everyday for a month... after far too many coffees / cigarettes a rough business plan had materialized... i guess we were both so passionate about the prospect of running our own label & its been full steam ahead ever since.
whats the philosophy behind the brand?
boarshort architecture is very much at the heart of what we do. we make our shorts here in sydney about half an hour drive from bondi. this has given us a unique ability to oversea the manufacturing process in its entirety and impose strict quality controls. using a total of 9 different japanese juki machines to construct one short we pride ourselves in making superior swimwear. the venroy brand is built upon a strong lifestyle immersed in summer and the antics that go along with it.
whats in the name?
it took months and months of constant verbal dribble until eventually we got to venroy. it’s a combination of both our names
who is the venroy boy?
venroy is suited to guys who can appreciate good design and structural quality. the versatility of our shorts in their ability to be worn throughout a sunny day into the night is reflective of the shenanigan-loving bloke that wears venroy.
any coastal spot with white sand, clear water, cool pools once you get your saltwater hit and good restaurant/bar variety so there’s always something to look forward to during the day
